Career Sources

1. Refer to the Career Exploration page on this wiki for career websites including Career Zone Pennsylvania and the Occupational Handbook.


2. See the CMSD Library webpage for INFOTRAC databases (Student Resource Center and Opposing Viewpoints).


3. EBSCO's COIN Career Library is located on the Library Home Page (look for the EBSCO circle on the left hand-side near the bottom on the page).


4. The Britannica icon is on the desktop. Search using your career or keywords.


5. Use Google Scholar to find books online; set an alert as material is updated.



Research Report Criteria

1. Utilize NoodleTools to create the Works Cited page.

2. Cite at least five reliable sources on the Works Cited page.

  • Potential sources (print or electronic): journal articles, encyclopedia articles, government publications, or books

  • No personal websites, blogs, wikispace, or other non-professional Internet sources.

3. Utilize NoodleTools to create Note Cards.

  • Required: 15 note cards total (minimum), 3 to 5 per source

4. Minimum five body paragraphs (one per source)

5. At least two parenthetical citations per paragraph (minimum of ten parenthetical citations total)

6. Minimum three to four typed pages in MLS 7 format.

Check with your teacher for grading, scoring, and for any adaptations to the criteria.
